DeVore Fidelity's latest speaker features a solid bamboo cabinet, a newly designed 5" driver and the same tweeter used in the SUPER 8's, The Nines and the Silverback Reference. The 90 dB / 8 Ohm load is virtually unheard of in a speaker of this size. The sound is very open and musical with a surprising amount of bass when placed out in the room. John DeVore liked his new creation so much that the beloved gibbon 8's have been discontinued in favor of the gibbon 3XL.

gibbon SUPER 8
At 90 dB with a 7.4 Ohm minimum load, the SUPER 8's are designed for small-medium sized rooms, capable of filling the room with 8-10 watts. They need to be close to the wall and require precise positioning to perform their best. The sound stage can easily extend beyond the speakers and they can be paired with more expensive components with great results.

The Nines
Easily competing with speakers that cost twice as much, The Nines are one of the great values in hi-fi speakers. The naturalness and realism factors are extremely high and the presentation is noticeably larger than the SUPER 8's.
The 8 ohm / 90.5 dB load makes them a perfect match for the 300B and other low powered tubes. They require a few feet from the rear wall.
